Just a quick note to all you coffee shop authors ...
This has been one long winter! There, enough said on that subject.
I can only imagine that most, on these northern lands, have not made it out to their favourite coffee shop to write, as often as originally planned (not that we are talking about the weather).

One of the benefits of writing in a coffee shop, especially the Penny Coffee House - http://pennycoffeehouse.com/ - is that there is never a shortage of inspiration walking in the door. Endless opportunities to chartacter sketch, snippets of conversation to record and even the chalk dusted menu offers inspirational adjectives.
Better late then never ...
I might be a little late coming to the Coffee Shop Author forum - but not late coming to the writers' lifestyle. I worked in print media for years and published an urban weekly arts & entertainment paper in Calgary. Having written professional freelance magazine and print media for years my words are my bread and butter but my heart has always belonged to my creative writing. I am finally at a point in my hectic life where I have had time to pursue a new stage in my writing career as a fiction writer.
